Exceptional Care Medical Group (ECMG) was formed in 1992 by a few physicians practicing in Los Angeles County. The doctors provided medical care to vulnerable individuals and families of low income and saw what was needed for members in the community.
Understanding firsthand, the personal nature of how medical care are being received by patients from diverse cultures and backgrounds, the doctors reached out to other physicians in the area. From there, ECMG was founded with a mission of delivering comprehensive medical care in a culturally competent, respectful, and compassionate manner. Providing care beyond the norm became the driving force of their mission.
To this date, Exceptional Care comprised of 9 medical groups, over 200 primary care physicians, nearly 900 specialty physicians, and a myriad of contracted health plans, hospitals, urgent care centers and more.
Exceptional Care and its medical groups have been recognized by America’s Physician Groups (APG) for providing comprehensive healthcare through efficient delivery mechanism, therefore, improving the health of the members. Patients’ overall well-being is important and our physicians are committed to continually helping our members focusing on preventive care, staying well and healthy.
